This week Ken and I spent another day working on each other's Senior Projects.  He's been invaluable for the CAD work.  This week has been tougher than the previous ones since this week we had to 'hollow out' the orbiter body so I can show the internal systems.  Originally, the orbiter, as far as the CAD was concerned, was a single solid block.  Given the complicated contours associated with the orbiter airframe, hollowing out the vehicle was a complicated task indeed.  Nonetheless, the entire orbiter is now empty, and we can work on furnishing it with subsystems and the crew cabin in the future.

We also worked a lot on his project, but you'll have to visit his website and read his narratives for that.

This project is dedicated to the crew of STS-107.

May we learn from our mistakes and improve the safety of manned spaceflight.
