Mr. Pritchett is still working on recommendations for my project.  He’s currently going through my draft in detail, looking for flaws, room for improvement, or things that should be kept for the final revision.  I have asked for his help in determining the altitude that my launch configuration can attain, in order to make sure it can reach the International Space Station’s orbit.  He mentioned that he has limited knowledge of orbital mechanics since he works primarily on airframe dynamics, since he works on wind tunnel simulations.  He is, however, kind enough to ask his colleagues about my project and pass my proposal and draft along to them.

I also hope to discuss my draft with Mr. Peters in the near future, as I think talking face-to-face with somebody will have its advantages over email.  I also need to better document my work and find more resources.

This project is dedicated to the crew of STS-107.

May we learn from our mistakes and improve the safety of manned spaceflight.
