Reassessment for Honors Qualification Maintaining Research Documents, Data, Notes, etc.
Self-Assessment: Qualifies for Honors Early on in the project, my collection of research documents was minimal, only reaching the “Basic” level. My theory was that, I was working “on my project”, and not working “on documenting the work on my project.” Most of my notes and information were from memory and many were not in any tangible form. I have asked several times “How do I document my knowledge that I have acquired through years and years of self-interest?” After realizing the importance of this documentation, I kept a file folder with my documentation and narratives, including handwritten notes on my sources. However, I have since found that this is highly cumbersome, since much of my work is in electronic mediums rather than physical. I have since decided to document my work in a website, and this documentation can be found at http://www.wirespecialties.com/seniorproject/ This online medium will make future information management easier, and will allow my information to be readily accessible to others. It will, by nature, be up to date, efficient, and user friendly.
Mentor Assessment: Qualifies for Honors Ryan struggled some early on with the documentation of his work. His electronic portfolio is very impressive!
